Clayton left California for another short while but his tale lives on. Log Cabin presents the narrative of "little boots" caught up in the, oh so common, dramatized world of life, family, friends and the pursuit of happiness through yr younger years. Evan and I decided the RV life was not the path anymore and we moved down south to pursue artistic adventures with Clayton. At the time Clayton was living in Tustin and had some space to record (the bathroom). We flew Jason Burger out to lay down drums to an eleven song mess of an album. Three years later after North Carolina adventures and back, these are the salvaged demo tracks from a totally thrown away album. Dropped the drums, dropped the songs, kept the gems. Here is Caligula Coffey from Log Cabin. Mixed by Evan's wild mind and packaged by Melanie. Enjoy!
About Me

- Blog Cabin
- This is Blog Cabin. It is the digital version of Log Cabin. Log Cabin is an art distribution centered around friends that share likeminded musical and aesthetic tastes. Hopefully Blog Cabin is as mildly enjoyable as the real deal. Enjoy!

OldWing Facelift
Clayton and I picked this 81 OldWing up for $550. I thought I could settle with the dusty bones look because of the price but in the end my mind was not at ease. Decided to take the saddlebags off first. Did some electrical clean up in the rear end. After that Melanie cleaned and waxed the piss out of what was still shiny on the bike. Last but definitely not least I sanded the side covers and spray painted em gold. Punk rock-Japanese-oil burning-dirt cheap-oldWing son of a bitch.

"Smog Cabin" Koozies Are Here to Stay
Ringing in Smog Cabin with some classic stenciled koozies. Melanie made a fun todo list and a Smog Cabin craft was one of the todos. With Clayton just skipping back to North Carolina, we decided to make some koozies in his honor or whatever. Came out basic as usual. That's the way we like it. Duh.

Smog Cabin Fixes Up the OldWing
OldWing went out on us. Identified the problem as the starter and ordered a new one online. Honda wanted 485 and ebay wanted 83. So naturally I saved some money by avoiding a horribly overpriced service center. We popped the starter in, changed the oil and filter, then cranked err on up. Backfired so loud the neighbors thought I was shooting up the block. Clayton motored this 1981 dinosaur to a local elementary where I rode for the first time. Didn't crash but didn't win a race either. Great times with food, friends and motors. Smog Cabin.

"SMOG CABIN" 1966 Ford Galaxie 500
"SMOG CABIN" is a crew of friends who like to use gas pedals and throttles in an effort to better express our dazed personalities. Evan and his 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 are a beastly duo with a Ford 289 V8 and a Cam with a 468 lift. Last but not least, the Holley 650 Carb... shit son. He let me try 3 on the tree for the first time and needless to say it was a blast. Cruised PCH makin' all the panties drop. Dudes freaked out too though. Pretty soon I would like to post some playlists with these "SMOG CABIN" posts, but for now listen to some "Sandy Babe" by Little Wings. It's what I was listening to in my head on this cruise.

The Broonies Make Me Sick
So Aaron is really good at making love and music. Well I've never heard the love thing, but I've heard The Broonies and it's really good music. I met Aaron years ago when recording the Gnarly Cactus, in a sweet basement, somewhere in San Francisco. I love that band. Not sure if Broonies spawned itself right after the Cactus made like bananas or a little later (post bowler in a magazine). Wish I was there for an early show or two. That would have been something. I wanted to share some of The Broonies music with you. Here it is. Beers make it better but not required. P.s. all of these songs are smash hits so be sure to check out the whole bandcamp.
Oh yeah and The Broonies played their last show on Saturday. Wander.
